Delivery Information
Standard Delivery is free and will be within 5-10 working days approx. Please supply a mobile number on checkout so that we can text you the actual Delivery date, this will also be emailed to you as well.
All our beds are handmade and it takes approx 2-5 working days for them to be made. Once made, we then hand it over to our couriers who will then contact you via text message to book in a delivery date once they know exactly when they will be able to deliver to you. We will notify you via email once your order has been passed on to our couriers.
On the day of delivery our drivers will call you approx 30-45 minutes beforehand so that you don't have to sit indoors all day.
Please note if you live in a house delivery is just inside your front door, or if you live in a block of flats delivery is ground floor only. Unless you have chosen the Assembly Service in checkout, in which case your bed will be assembled in your room of choice.
Please note deliveries to the following post codes may take 5-15 working days as well as all deliveries to Scotland:
BS, SN, GL, PE, NR, ME, CF, LL, NP, CO, LA, BA, CA, NW, N, E, SE, EC, WC, SW, W, HP, EN, IG, RM, SL, DA, BR, CM, CR, SM, KT, TW, UB, GU, HA, WD, CB, IP, BN, SO, CT, HR, RH, LN, AL, RG, TA, DT, BH, TN, PL, EX1-17, TQ, SA, LD, SP.
Please note that we do not deliver to the following areas: TR, KW, IV, AB, PH, PA22+, EX17+
We also do not deliver to any off shore locations such as Northern Ireland, the Isle of Wight, Isle of Man, Channel Islands, etc
Weekend Delivery
This is available for certain post codes. Please contact us for more information.
Missed Delivery/ Re-arrange Delivery
If you were not present at your address when delivery attempt was made then the driver will leave a card through your door. The couriers will contact you again to arrange another delivery date. For any issues please email us at support@modernbeds.co.uk
Please note if you miss the couriers there will be a charge of £50 to re-deliver your order. If the couriers return the goods back to us without it being delivered a refund will be issued minus £75 charge (this is a charge the couriers will charge us to return the goods which we will have to pass on).
Damaged Items
Please thoroughly check all items when you receive them. If anything looks damaged you must sign for the item as "Damaged" on the drivers delivery sheet or notify him to mark it down as damaged. Otherwise we cannot replace any items or compensate for damages.
If anything is damaged please let us know within 24 hours via email and we will replace any damaged items. If we are not notified within 24 hours then we cannot accept any liability for damaged items. Even if you are not going to use the product straight away, you still have to check it for damages
Covid-19 Update
Our couriers will be taking extra care during delivery for their safety and your safety. They have been given strict instructions to keep minimal contact with customers. If you have any special delivery requirements please let us know. We will not request a signature upon delivery.
Further Information
Please note in order to receive your delivery you have to be available on that particular date anytime from 8AM-6PM to receive it. Whilst dates can be changed to accomodate when you are going to be available, timing is not something that we have control of and cannot accomodate.
Please do not dispose of your old bed/mattress until the new one arrives and you are happy with it as there can be issues sometimes with delivery
