Every order placed is important to us. We want our customers to feel fully supported throughout their entire experience with Modern Beds, and that includes Returns & Refunds.

Divan Beds

We understand buying a bed on the internet can be a little tricky without seeing, or more importantly, sitting on it first to see how it would feel. So if you feel this product isn't right for you within the first 14 days of receiving the item, no problem! Please email us and we will collect the item for a fee of £50.

All we ask is that you keep the packaging so that it can be packed back up again securely ready for collection. If the original packaging has been disposed of we cannot accept the item back I’m afraid.

Please also keep the item safe in your possession so that it doesn't get dirty or damaged before we collect it. Once collected and brought back to our warehouse, a refund will be issued via the same method that you paid.

Before unpacking and trying the mattress, it is advisable to not remove the packaging as you are able to test if the mattress is to your satisfaction with the packaging on. If you take the mattress out of the packaging and use it we cannot accept a return due to health and safety reasons.

Please note collections can take 1-2 weeks approx. However there can be delays especially with the current situation so please allow up to 4 weeks.


If you purchase a mattress on its own from us, you have 14 days to return the item. We can collect for a charge of £50. However, the item must be unopened and unused. We cannot accept a mattress back if it has been opened and used due to hygiene reasons. Please contact our Customer Services team for more information

Cancellation of order before delivery

If you would like to cancel your order before delivery has been arranged, please contact us on support@modernbeds.co.uk to cancel your order and we will issue a full refund.

If, however you would like to cancel your order on the day of delivery after delivery has been booked in with yourself via our couriers then there will be a £75 deduction from the refund.

Please note after we process a refund it can take 5-10 working days for the funds to arrive bank in your account.

Important note

Please thoroughly check all items when you receive them. If anything looks damaged, you must sign for the item as "Damaged" on the drivers delivery sheet or notify him to mark it down as damaged. Otherwise we cannot replace any items or compensate I’m afraid
